Wheels

We love little boy quilts!

This quilt has large appliqué and a little stitchery, making this the cutest thing ever.  It's perfect for boys of all ages (or girls too, if you have a girl like mine with an obsession of all things car and minnie mouse- at least it's balanced).  It's not too babyish, and not too grown up.  And it's the perfect cuddling size! 40" x 50" makes a nice winding down blanket after all those races.

Pattern is purchased here.  Fabric is City Streets by Jamie Wood for Clothworks.

SQUEAL!

SO excited for this! Our block-of-the-month bird applique quilt pattern is DONE! It was amazingly fun to work on. We could not put it down!

The pattern can be purchased all at once, or by 10 monthly installments.  Just click the "block-of-the-month program" tab, and you're all set.

I love it the more I stare at it.  This is a quilt that truly lets you enjoy the process.  We love that.

It's 40" square, which is the perfect size for a wall hanging.  Perfect for spring, too.

And seriously, all you really need is some white fabric, and you can totally use your scraps for the colored blocks/pinwheels.  The appliqué fabric is a really cool line by Clothworks, "Shades", by Kinkame.  It shades from one color to another, selvage to selvage, which is so perfect for appliqué, I think.

So, I'm dying for this to be in my living room, but thimbles and threads will be hanging it, lucky ducks.

See here for the complete pattern.
